We hired Ash C… and he hit the ground running. Ash was extremely knowledgeable about ISO 9001 and really took our company to another level in regards to Quality. He was very conscientious about our need to improve our quality and was very willing to travel to all our various locations to ensure our staff were aware and were following our Quality System. Ash would perform his own ISO internal audits and as a result, when it was time for our external ISO audit, there were never any issues.

In my experience, there are times when the Quality Manager has a difficult time establishing a relationship with the Management Team Members. I found in Ash’s case, he was very intelligent and found a way to discuss issues with Managers and as such earned the respect of the Managers. As a result, discussing Quality didn’t cause any morale issues.

I met Ash back in 2005 when I joined Alliance Surface Finishing in Mississauga, Ontario as a Quality Manager. I have had the pleasure of knowing Ash since 2005 where I first promoted him into the role of Quality technician.
