We hired Ash C… and he hit the ground running. Ash was extremely knowledgeable about ISO 9001 and really took our company to another level in regards to Quality. He was very conscientious about our need to improve our quality and was very willing to travel to all our various locations to ensure our staff were aware and were following our Quality System. Ash would perform his own ISO internal audits and as a result, when it was time for our external ISO audit, there were never any issues.
In my experience, there are times when the Quality Manager has a difficult time establishing a relationship with the Management Team Members. I found in Ash’s case, he was very intelligent and found a way to discuss issues with Managers and as such earned the respect of the Managers. As a result, discussing Quality didn’t cause any morale issues.
To conclude, if you are looking to enhance your ISO system or to implement a new Quality
